Your survey response data is owned by you. By creating a survey, you grant PodProfile a license in perpetuity to use that data—individually or in aggregate—as part of our podcast industry reports.
Survey data is stored on servers located in the United States. PodProfile will process your survey data on your behalf to provide individual responses and reports on the responses you collect.
We hold your data securely. Read our Security Statement for more information.
If you checked the “inform me of sponsorship opportunities” box when creating a survey: For the duration of your surveys being active on PodProfile.com (plus a period of 90 days), you grant PodProfile the right—at its discretion-- to privately share information about your podcast audience with advertisers to generate sponsorship opportunities on your behalf.
PodProfile treats your surveys as if they were private (except where you have made the surveys and any data available via a public link). We don’t sell this to anyone and we don’t use the individual survey responses you collect for purposes unrelated to you or our services, except in a limited set of circumstances (e.g. if we are compelled by a subpoena, or if you’ve given us permission to do so).
Are your responses anonymous? This depends on how the survey creator has decided to use the survey. Contact them to find out, or click here to read more about respondent anonymity.
PodProfile reserves the right to use your survey responses in aggregate, either as it relates to an individual podcast (and with that survey creator’s consent), or as part of a wider report on podcast listeners.
In the case of individual text-based responses, survey respondents grant both the survey creators and PodProfile permission to use and share these the responses-- in whole or in part, without royalty or compensation due to the survey responder.
